As part of the procedure for submitting applications for academic accreditation, the Institute of Materials Science and Technology provides the relevant professors with a list of the documents and forms that must be completed and attached to the application.
Required documents
The academic accreditation application comprises the following documents:
- Cover page of the teaching resource
- It contains all the essential information about the resource, the author and the academic institution.
- Request for an expert assessment of the teaching resource
- Form submitted by the relevant lecturer to request that the teaching resource be subjected to an evaluation and a scientific expert assessment.
- Certificate of teaching experience
- Document certifying the lecturer’s teaching experience in delivering the module or teaching unit covered by the textbook.
- Commitment form to become an expert
- Commitment form by which the lecturer undertakes to contribute to expert review and scientific evaluation work in the future.
- Expert review report on the teaching material
- Report drawn up by the expert or the expert review panel, containing an evaluation of the teaching material and an opinion on it.
- Certificate justifying a lack of teaching experience relevant to the textbook
- A document to be attached in exceptional cases where the required length of experience has not been met, accompanied by the necessary supporting evidence.
- Guide for teachers who are authors of educational works (Vade-Mecum)
- This sets out the conditions for the acceptance of educational works and the standards adopted for their development and drafting, as well as the formal and scientific rules to be observed prior to submission.

- Applications that are incomplete or do not comply with the current requirements may not be considered.
